“Famed Wall Street and finance author Michael Lewis had been interviewing and traveling with Sam Bankman-Fried for the past six months, ahead of the shocking collapse of FTX last week, according to an agent’s email obtained by the Hollywood newsletter The Ankler.”
USAGOLD note: Michael Lewis has a way of working himself into the thick of things, and he just happened to be working on a book featuring Bankman-Fried when the stuff hit the fan. On Monday, reports were circulating that at least $1 billion, perhaps $2 billion, had vanished from the FTX crypto exchange. You can’t short a company already sitting at zero value.
