Names, ages: Rad Arrindell (28) + Shannon Kronstadt (27)
Located: Astoria, New York
LB Adviser: Claire

Q: How did you find LB?
We found Lauren B through Google! It’s funny because after our first meeting with Claire, Rad mentioned Lauren B to his cousin and she told him her ring is from LB! I think that was another sign it was meant to be.

Q: Did you work remotely/in-store for your purchase?
We worked in-store!

Q: What made you choose LB for your ring design/purchase?
The experience of designing a ring with Lauren B is like no other; the customer service is impeccable. Claire was warm, welcoming, and so incredibly helpful. We knew very little about diamonds and settings, but she was so knowledgeable and answered all of our questions in ways that were very easy to understand. She made us feel so excited about the process and we never felt like we were just a number. Our personal experience really mattered to her, which makes my ring feel that much more meaningful.

Q: What design did you choose for your ring, and why?
My ring is a pear-shaped diamond with a thin, pave band. The setting is simple but so beautiful–– white gold prongs paved with diamonds hold the center stone, and the band itself is rose gold. I love the contrast of the metal colors. I was deciding between pear and round, two cuts I’ve always loved but ultimately, the pear was the winner. Every time I put it on, my eyes lit up. It also complements my hand really well!

Q: Tell us about the proposal: where and when did it take place?
We got engaged in Connecticut at a place called Incarnation Camp and Conference Center. It’s a very special place to Rad, as he spent most of his childhood summers there as a camper and then as an employee. He has a huge group of camp friends who I’ve gotten to know and love throughout our relationship.

At the end of October, we planned a trip to camp for a long weekend to visit our friends, Liam and Nicole. They actually live there year-round because Liam is the camp director, and Nicole is an incredible wedding photographer. They set up a “fake” photoshoot of Rad and me around camp as a distraction, and as the sun began to set, we decided to check out the newly-renovated event space that overlooks the beautiful lake. We walked in to find a candlelit room, and I’m embarrassed to say I was completely oblivious to what was happening at first (it’s so easy to surprise me, it’s laughable). I think I was both in shock and denial because although we looked at rings at Lauren B a couple of months prior, Rad made me believe that he wasn’t going to propose until sometime next year. Yet on October 25th, he walked me down a candlelit aisle and asked me to marry him (he’s an FDNY firefighter, so it’s only right that he proposed to me while surrounded by fire). It was the best moment ever. We are so grateful for Liam and Nicole (who took the most amazing photos) and our families for planning the most perfect weekend.

Q: How do you feel about the process overall – good experience? Would/did you refer LB to others?
The process was incredible! We couldn’t imagine working with anyone else. We have already referred LB to others, and we will absolutely continue to do so! We can’t thank Claire and the rest of the LB team enough. If you’re thinking about purchasing an engagement ring, wedding bands, or any other fine jewelry, look no further than Lauren B. You won’t regret it!
