Platinum Team Metals' CEO R. Michael Jones told Kitco last month stated it partnered with Anglo American Platinum to introduce a new venture, Lion Battery Technologies Inc., to check out the benefits of adding platinum team steels (PGMs) to battery modern technology.

The business are backing an university researcher that found that lithium oxygen as well as lithium sulfur batteries can perform much better with the addition of PGMs, which can increase a battery's power density.

Platinum Team Metals (CVE: PTM) is likewise progressing its Bushveld Facility in South Africa, which is surrounded by 70% of the world's platinum production.
