A lot more miners are taking equity stakes in juniors to advance jobs that interest them, said Ryan Hanley in an interview with Kitco recently.
Hanley is Vice President, Equity Research Analyst, Mining, at Laurentian Financial Institution Stocks.
Hanley stated there hasn't been any big enter expedition costs.
" What has actually been intriguing is even more of this new angle: manufacturers entering and taking equity risks of junior companies and, sometimes, establishing things like joint technical teams so they can assist with making exploration programs," said Hanley.

More miners are taking equity stakes in juniors to advance projects that interest them, said Ryan Hanley in an interview with Kitco last week.
Hanley is Vice President, Equity Research Analyst, Mining, at Laurentian Bank Securities.
Hanley said there hasn't been any big jumps in exploration spending.
"What has been interesting is more of this new angle: producers going in and taking equity stakes of junior companies and, in some cases, developing things like joint technical teams so they can help out with designing exploration programs," said Hanley.
