Making the right choice when it comes to an eternity ring
Choosing the correct eternity ring can be quite a daunting task. There are just so many factors to consider when browsing eternity rings, and getting the right style can be especially important when the ring is intended to sit alongside an engagement ring.

One of the first tips we would recommend when looking for eternity rings, whether for yourself or your partner, would be to focus initially on the diamond.
Choice of diamond for eternity rings
The choice of diamond very often reflects the cutting style of the engagement ring that it will sit close to. Where the eternity ring design holds more than one cut of a diamond, try to ensure at least one style is carried across into the eternity ring.
In the case of more difficult cuts, such as Pear Cut, Oval Cut, etc. the “Brilliant Cut” will suffice, so Round Brilliants and Princess Cut diamonds will all work nicely. For Emerald Cut, engagement rings or those set with Asscher or Carre cut diamonds we have a sumptuous range of Carre cut engagement rings that are precision set with Step cut (Carre) diamonds that match beautifully.

Choosing the width for diamond eternity rings
The next thing to consider is the width of the ring. Try to select an eternity ring design with a similar width to the engagement ring. If the engagement ring is 3mm above the finger, then a 3mm eternity ring will balance nicely keeping the proportions equal. Where shoulder diamonds exist in the engagement ring we create a perfectly matched eternity or wedding ring. By matching the diamond shoulders to the new ring setting. Previous Bespoke Commissions.
Eternity ring profiles and shape
The profile is equally important. Does your engagement ring have a flat outer face or does it have a court profile? Most eternity rings have a court profile so work well generally but some profile variations do exist. The depth will also need to relate to your engagement ring. Too deep and the two rings will appear stepped when alongside each other. Large diamonds require a greater depth of metal, so the size of diamonds will need to be suitable for the depth of your eternity ring.
Fitted and shaped eternity rings
Shaped or unshaped? The other factor you may have to work around involved awkward settings on the engagement ring. Where present, it might be possible to select a design with a slight curve, that gently contours to allow for an engagement ring setting.

Precious metals for diamond eternity rings
We always advise matching the metal type to the engagement ring metal already worn. Palladium eternity rings, Platinum eternity rings and 18ct Gold eternity rings are most common, but other permutations, such as bi-metal eternity rings do exist for added versatility.
Full or partially set diamond eternity rings?
The other question you may also ask yourself is full or partially set. Where diamond set shoulders exist within the engagement ring design, a bespoke half eternity ring is wise.
A fully set band will not lend itself to any size adjustment. The only option for size adjustments with a full eternity ring would be the creation of small pips on the inner surface.
We are able to create a diamond ring to an exact percentage you require. 50% set usually covers the entire upper part that is visible on daily wear. 75% set eternity rings to allow for a small section below the finger that remains unset. Whilst some would argue this allows an area for resizing. A very fractional size adjustment is advised against to avoid disturbing such precision setting.

Lab-grown diamonds are also known as lab-created or man-made diamonds. They provide an affordable alternative to natural diamonds.
Lab-grown diamonds are made in a laboratory. Recent technology, means diamonds can be grown under similar conditions responsible for the creation of natural diamonds.
In appearance and physical composition, lab-grown diamonds look identical to natural diamonds. In fact, they are impossible to tell apart.
Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?
A common misconception suggests lab-created diamonds are fake diamonds. This is not true. They bear the same physical composition as a natural, mined diamond.
Why are man-made diamonds popular?
The popularity of lab-grown diamonds comes from their price. Many lab-grown diamond engagement rings cost less than the equivalent natural diamond ring. In addition, media coverage has focused more attention on lab-created diamonds in recent years.
Are laboratory-grown diamonds ethical?
Another merit of lab-grown diamonds comes from the ethical status of a lab-grown diamond. Since they come from a laboratory, this avoids the environmental impact of mining. For this reason, many label laboratory-grown diamonds as 100% ethical diamonds.
However, few producers comment on the carbon footprint involved in making a diamond.
A natural diamond choice we offer includes CanadaMark diamonds. We consider this the only 100% ethical natural diamond choice. In addition, the CanadaMark brand concentrates on the environmental impact as part of its mission.
How much are lab-grown diamonds?
Like natural diamonds, man-made diamonds vary in cost. Prices differ depending on the size, colour and clarity of the diamond. Also, prices vary from supplier to supplier. Also, prices vary from retailer to retailer.
Based on one of our recent commissions, the following prices show a comparison of price between lab-grown and natural diamonds.

Under magnification, our lab-grown diamonds can be identified by a unique laser inscription. Applied to the outer girdle, the certificate number and reference appear.
To the naked eye, this inscription remains invisible. But this appears under the lens of an inscription reader, loupe, or magnifying lens.

It may seem fairly straightforward to know how much money you have. Open your wallet, look at your bank accounts, and add it all up, right? However, when you start looking at assets beyond that, things can get fairly murky. Many people often have extremely valuable things, as well as complex financial assets, and don’t know their worth.
For example, recently a 1776 Continental dollar, forged out of pewter at the dawn of our country, was sold at flea market in Europe for 50 euro cents (approximately 56 cents in U.S. dollars).
After being evaluated by numismatic experts, the coin was found to be worth $97,500.
As the story was relayed to Coin World, the original owner of the coin who sold it had it in “a cookie box full of coins and medals for sale.” The buyer rummaged through the box, and the coin caught their eye. When they asked the seller how much for the coin, the seller offered it for a pittance, clearly oblivious to the item’s potential for a near 100,000-dollar price tag.
People can shake their heads at the blunder of the flea market seller and think, “I wouldn’t make the same mistake!” Some could also look at the same scenario and not relate: “I don’t sell antiques in a flea market—what does this have to do with me?” Yet I find this story has parallels with the financial circumstances of many. Many people often do not understand everything they have.
The true amount of what you have could be hidden behind a fog of financial jargon.
This confusion extends into retirement funds. Despite being reportedly one of the most popular forms of retirement accounts, 401(k)s were shown in a survey just a couple of years ago to be incomprehensible to a majority of Americans; less than half of Americans could explain how a 401(k) worked.
Perhaps things have improved since then. After the passage of the recent SECURE Act, Noel Abkemeier, a chairperson on the Lifetime Income Risk Joint Committee (a group dedicated to “to addressing the risks and related issues of inadequate guaranteed lifetime income among retirees”) has an optimistic sentiment. He explained that part of the new law “helps people better understand how much money they have in their 401(k).”
On the surface, this statement indicates a positive new trend.
However, this statement implies that, in the current state of things, many don’t understand how much money they do have in their 401(k)s.
This lack of understanding is under the surface where the true nuts and bolts and gears of finances are at work. This is why it is so important, especially when it comes to matters with your own money, to take the time to have a true understanding of what you hold. Years from now, you don’t want to hold onto something that could be worth 100,000 dollars and sell it for 50 cents.
