Johannesburg, 26 July 2018: Gold Fields’ South Deep mine has handed over a new home to an elderly Bekkersdal grandmother, who looks after five of her grandchildren without any financial support. 70-year old Mrs Lemphane has been living in an informal settlement in Bekkersdal, one of South Deep’s host communities in the Rand West City Local Municipality, for over 20 years.
